Two police vehicles struck when suspects flee attempted robbery
Request Free ConsultationBURIEN, WA – Burien Police arrested two suspects who attempted to break into a Bank of America ATM and then fled from police early Monday morning.
According to a statement from Burien Police, two officers were dispatched to a Bank of America ATM on 152nd Street around 4 a.m. Monday. They found two male suspects attempting to break into the ATM with a crowbar. The suspects fled the scene when they noticed the officers, leading the police on a chase onto Highway 518.
Police attempted to use spike strips to slow the suspects, who instead made a U-turn and came back at the officers going the wrong way. The suspect’s vehicle struck two police cars while driving the wrong way, injuring one police officer.
The suspects were apprehended and booked into King County Jail.
