Two men killed in multi-car crash after car runs red light in Tacoma

TACOMA, WA — Two men died Thursday night in a multi-car collision after running a red light in south Tacoma.

The fatal accident took place on South Hosmer Street, near the off-ramp from I-5 at around 8:00 p.m.

The two men were heading southbound on South Hosmer Street in a stolen Honda Civic when the driver ran a red light. A northbound vehicle hit the Honda, causing it to spin out and strike two additional cars.

Both men in the Honda were pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported as a result.

An investigation remained underway as of Friday, but authorities believe the Honda driver was speeding at the time of the crash.
