Two members of law enforcement save 5-year-old from river
Request Free ConsultationWENATCHEE RIVER, WA – A police detective and a Sheriff’s deputy jumped into the Wenatchee River on Sunday when they saw a 5-year-old boy being carried by the fast current, panicked and alone.
According to KOMO News, Kent Police Detective R. Gilcrist and King County Sheriff’s Deputy B. Johnson were on vacation at the river, about two and a half hours east of Seattle. When they spotted the boy in the water, they immediately jumped into the cold river to pull him to shore.
The boy’s father retrieved him from the shore. The boy did not sustain any injuries.
