SEATTLE, WA — Two people sustained injuries in different incidents on Tuesday night that involved large pieces of concrete and rocks thrown at cars along I-90 near Mt. Baker Tunnel, according to Kiro 7.

Mercer Island EMTs said drivers going eastbound and westbound along the I-90 I-5 merge were affected. One person was taken to the hospital with a serious shoulder injury and another driver who refused medical attention contacted authorities after crossing over to Mercer Island.

Aynne Ingram, a driver whose vehicle was struck in the incident, witnessed other cars pulled over with significant damage.
