MCCLEARY, WA (GRAYS HARBOR COUNTY) – Two people were injured Thursday afternoon in an accident caused by a medical episode in Grays Harbor County, according to KXRO.

The crash happened on State Route 108, near Tornquist Road, at about 4:30 p.m. when a 48-year-old man from Shelton suffered a medical emergency while driving.

The vehicle, a 2002 Ford F-150, then ran off the left side of the road and came to a stop in the brush beside the highway.

The driver and a passenger, a 40-year-old woman from Seattle, were taken to the hospital for the treatment of unspecified injuries.

The driver is facing charges of second-degree negligent driving. He was not wearing a seatbelt when the accident happened.

According to investigators, the driver is not believed to have been under the influence.
