Two children, two adults hospitalized after crash on I-82 near Zillah
Request Free ConsultationZILLAH, WA — Two young girls and two adults were injured Sunday morning after a single-vehicle rollover collision on Interstate 82 eastbound near Zillah in Yakima County, according to YakTriNews.
The accident happened in the eastbound lanes of I-82 west of Zillah near the merge to state Route 22 at around 6:42 a.m.
A 43-year-old Redmond man was driving a 2005 Dodge Caravan eastbound on the highway when the vehicle left the roadway and the driver overcorrected, causing the vehicle to overturn.
The driver and three other passengers, including a 38-year-old Redmond woman and two girls aged 8 and 11, suffered injuries and were taken to Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital. No information on their conditions has been disclosed.
Authorities attributed negligent driving in the second degree as the cause of the crash. Impairment was not found to be a factor.
Troopers with Washington State Patrol said the Dodge Caravan was totaled as a result of the accident.
