Troopers respond to accident involving car, semi-truck on I-5

SEATTLE, WA – Washington State Troopers responded to an accident on Interstate 5 near Michigan St involving a car and an 18-wheeler on Tuesday morning.

#HeadsUp There is a semi/car collision NB I-5 near Michigan blocking lanes 1 and 2. Use caution through the area. @wsdot cleaning up debris in the lanes.

According to WSP Trooper Rick Johnson, the accident happened around 9:45 a.m. The collision blocked the two right lanes of the highway while first responders worked to clear the scene. It is not clear whether there were any injuries.
