Traffic backs up on I-5 at Spokane St. following collision

SEATTLE, WA – A collision is blocking the left two lanes of northbound I-5 south of Spokane Street, according to WSDOT’s Seattle incidents page.

The department reports that both the Incidents Response Team and the Washington State Patrol are on the scene as of 8 a.m. The incident is affecting rush hour traffic in the area, and commuters are advised to seek alternate routes if possible.

It is unclear at this time whether anyone was injured, or what may have led to the collision. This blog will be updated should that information become publicly available.
