CASHMERE, WA. – Three people were injured in a three-vehicle collision just east of Cashmere on Highway 2.

News Radio 560 KPQ reports that the crash happened at around 4:15 p.m. on eastbound Highway 2 on Thursday evening. Washington State Patrol officials say that a 60-year-old woman from Leavenworth was traveling westbound in a Dodge truck when she attempted to change lanes and instead crossed over into eastbound traffic at milepost 113. Her truck collided head-on with two vehicles heading eastbound, authorities report.

The woman was initially taken to Central Washington Hospital and was later airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Two other victims were transported to Central Washington Hospital for treatment, while a third person was uninjured in the crash. No further details have been released about the other victims or the severity of their injuries.
