Tenino, Washington – Truck Crashes Into Train Car, Causes Fuel Spill

Tenino, Washington (January 8, 2020) – A two truck hauling a semi truck crashed into empty train cars on Crowder Road Southeast and Blumauer Road Southeast on Wednesday night. According to the report from KOMO news, no injuries have been reported in the incident and passenger train traffic has not been affected by the crash.

According to the information provided by the Thurston County Fire department, the incident occurred just before midnight. The tow truck had braking issues and crashed into a train that had been parked on the tracks. Additionally, a freight train passed by before the scene could be closed down, clipping one of the train cars. The semi truck also sustained a ruptured fuel line, causing a spill of 30 gallons of diesel fuel. The incident caused Crowder Road Southeast to be closed while the crash and the spill were being cleaned up.
