Request Free ConsultationSPANAWAY, WA – Two teenaged brothers drowned in Spanaway Lake on Sunday, officials citing dangerous swimming conditions as part of the cause.
According to KOMO News, the two brothers, 14 and 15, were in the designated swimming area of the lake when one of them became distressed and went under the water. His brother called for help before diving down to rescue his brother, but neither resurfaced.
Dive teams recovered the boys, who were later pronounced dead at Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital.
Officials said neither of the boys was a strong swimmer and that the cold lake water made for difficult swimming conditions.
The identities of the brothers have not been released.
