Tacoma, Washington – Vehicle Accident Results in Wreck on I-5

Tacoma, Washington (March 23, 2019) – A vehicle accident resulted in a wreck on the Interstate 5 at South 56th street on Saturday afternoon. The wreckage site blocked the road with damaged cars and emergency vehicles on two left lanes and the right shoulder. No details were given on the circumstances of the crash and the conditions of the people involved in the traffic accident.

In 2017, the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT)  have reported a total of 120, 993 car accidents. Of those accidents, 525 were fatal ad 34, 311 were possible or suspected of injuries. In rollover collisions, the car will come to rest on its side or roof, resulting in a dangerous situation where passengers might need to be extricated from. In side collisions, the greatest risk comes to the passenger on the particular side that received the impact. No matter the type of accident, all crashes are bound to cause a dreadful situation for all involved.
