Suspected DUI driver crashes into cars, building in Seattle’s Belltown area
Request Free ConsultationSEATTLE, WA — A 51-year-old man was taken into custody Monday night after his car struck multiple vehicles and a business in the Belltown area of Seattle, reports KIRO 7 News.
At about 9:30 p.m., police received several reports of related collisions occurring near Fourth Avenue and Cedar Street, Broad Street and Denny Way, in addition to Second Avenue and Battery Street.
The causing vehicle, a white Toyota sedan, came to rest after plowing into the front of a business at Second Avenue and Denny Way.
Multiple drivers were reported to have sustained minor injuries in the string of events.
Officers said they sent the driver to Harborview Medical Center for a blood draw after he display signs of alcohol and substance use. The driver was then booked into King County Jail as he is investigated for multiple counts of hit-and-run, DUI, and negligent driving.
