State Troopers investigate serious injury hit-and-run in Lakewood

LAKEWOOD, WA – Washington State Troopers are investigating a serious injury collision in which a driver suffered a broken leg on Monday afternoon.
South I-5, north of Bridgeport in Lakewood. Troopers are on scene of a serious injury, hit and run collision. The driver of this Honda is lucky to be alive. Believe a broken leg is the worst of the injuries. If anyone was witness to this, please contact me.

According to WSP Trooper Ryan Burke, the accident happened on southbound I-5 just north of Bridgeport Way around 4 p.m. Monday. The suspect fled the scene. Troopers are working to locate the suspect, who they believe is driving a silver pickup truck.
Witnesses to the collision are encouraged to contact authorities.
