Spokane, Washington – Worker Sustains Injuries After Getting Run Over Vehicle

Spokane, Washington (November 4, 2019) – A worker sustained injuries after he was run over by the vehicle being prepared to be towed from a work site at the 17100 block of East Boone Street on Monday morning. The worker was transported in critical condition. As of Monday afternoon, however, he was reported to be in stable condition. No other injuries were reported in the incident.

The incident occurred around 9 a.m. The worker was securing a chain around an axle of company truck, and he was was still underneath the vehicle when the driver of the two truck moved. The driver was not aware that the worker was underneath the truck, and he was run over. No road closures in relation to the accident has been announced.

Lately, distractions also cause accidents not only for drivers, but also pedestrians, specifically those who are using their phones while crossing the road. We urge everyone to exercise area awareness at all times and to keep their attention on the road. Avoiding accidents not only prevents loss, damage, injuries and death to one’s self, but also on other people in the surroundings.
