Spokane, Washington (December 8, 2019) – One person was taken to a hospital following a collision involving two cars at the intersection of North Division Street and East Magnesium Road on Sunday evening. The patient was described to have “substantial bodily injuries” and was taken to a hospital for treatment. There has been no further word regarding their condition. The male driver of one of the vehicles who is believed to have caused the accident was also arrested by the police.

The crash was first reported to the police around 5 p.m. The cause and circumstances of the crash has not been reported, but authorities believe that impairment is a factor. The crash caused the closure of lanes on North Division Street south of Highway 2 and Highway 395 split.

In rollover collisions, the car will come to rest on its side or roof, resulting in a dangerous situation which passengers might need to be extricated from. In side collisions, the greatest risk comes to the passenger on the particular side that received the impact. No matter the type of accident, all crashes are bound to cause a dreadful situation for all involved.
