Spokane, Washington – Child Hospitalized After Getting Struck by Car in Hit and Run

Spokane, Washington (November 4, 2019) – A child sustained non-life-threatening injuries after he was struck by a car on North Post Street in a hit and run on Monday afternoon. Witnesses reported the incident around 4 p.m., and medics arrived soon after to start treating the child. He was later taken to a hospital.

The incident happened near the intersection of North Post Street and West Alice Avenue around 4 p.m. As of Tuesday afternoon, Spokane Police have arrested Damon J. Ashe on suspicion of injuring the victim.

Lately, distractions also cause accidents not only for drivers, but also pedestrians, specifically those who are using their phones while crossing the road. Avoiding accidents not only prevents loss, damage, injuries and death to one’s self, but also on other people in the surroundings.
