Skyway, Washington (October 4, 2019) – One pedestrian died after getting struck by a pickup truck at the 18000 Renton Avenue South onFriday night. The victim, an 83 year-old man, was reported to have died on the scene. The driver appears to be uninjured and stayed on the scene to cooperate with police investigation.

According to the police report, the victim was crossing the street when he was struck by the truck. Investigators have reported that the area did not have a lot of light, and that the victim was not in crosswalk when he had been struck. Additionally, police have confirmed that the truck driver was not impaired at the time of the crash. The accident caused Renton Avenue South to be closed while investigation was ongoing.
