SEATTLE, WA – A semi-truck caught fire near the Tiger Mountain summit causing traffic to be diverted Friday morning.

According to a tweet by WSP, troopers responded to the scene at about 9:09 a.m. along SR-18 near the Issaquah-Hobart Road intersection.

It is still unclear what may have caused the fire. However, no injuries were reported as a result.

Drivers have been advised to avoid this portion of SR-18 while emergency crews work at the scene.
