Renton PD officer injured after crash with hit-and-run driver
Request Free ConsultationRENTON, WA – A Renton Police officer was injured after being struck by a hit-and-run driver early this morning on Main Avenue South, according to KOMO News.
The collision occurred at the intersection of S 2nd Street and Main Ave S at about 4 a.m., when the driver of a red passenger vehicle struck the front of a Renton PD SUV.
The driver, who has yet to be apprehended, fled the scene on foot.
A passenger in their vehicle remained at the scene.
The officer was taken to the hospital with undisclosed injuries, and is expected to recover.
The accident remains under investigation at this time.
