Reckless teen driver booked for driving 126 mph in neighborhood
Request Free ConsultationKENNEWICK, WA – A 17-year-old boy is in custody after a police officer clocked his car at 126 miles per hour in a residential area at Canal Drive and North Vancouver Street.
According to KOMO News, an officer observed the speeding vehicle at about 10 p.m. Monday night, and attempted to pull the driver over. He put on his lights and sirens, but the driver sped away from him.Police located the vehicle sometime later, crashed into a curb and unoccupied. Evidence inside the car led the authorities to a 17-year-old boy, who has not been publicly identified.
The teen is currently at Benton County Juvenile Detention Center.
