Pedestrian struck and killed by 77-year-old Parkland driver

PARKLAND, WA – A 49-year-old man died after he was struck by a car driven by a 77-year-old man on the 600 block of 112th Street East on Tuesday.
KOMO News reports that the accident happened around 6 p.m. The victim died at the scene and the driver of the vehicle stayed and cooperated with investigators.
The driver told police that the victim stepped out in front of his car and he did not have time to stop. Police are still investigating.
