Pedestrian left in critical condition after Maple Valley hit-and-run

MAPLE VALLEY, WA – A pedestrian was left in critical condition after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Maple Valley on Tuesday night, according to KOMO News.

The accident occurred near the intersection of Maple Valley Black Diamond Road and SE 237th Street at 9:30 p.m., when a driver struck a 55-year-old male pedestrian, and then fled the scene.

The driver of a plow truck discovered the victim, then used the truck to block traffic and prevent other drivers from striking him.

The victim was taken to the hospital with critical injuries. His identity was not released.

Authorities were unable to immediately identify the suspect driver, and are asking those with any information on the accident to call the King County Sheriff Department at 206-296-3311.
