Pedestrian intentionally struck, killed near I-5 in Lakewood

LAKEWOOD, WA – The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a potential homicide involving a pedestrian who was hit and killed by a van near Berkeley Street SW and Interstate 5.
KOMO reports that the victim was struck around 1 p.m. on Tuesday. The victim was transported to a local hospital in critical conditions and later died.
Officials believe that the victim and driver of the van knew each other and had both been in their cars before the victim stepped out. Investigators believe they know the identity of the suspect and are attempting to locate them.
