TACOMA, WA – One person was transported to the hospital after their car crashed with a box truck on an Interstate 5 ramp in Tacoma on Tuesday afternoon.
According to State Trooper Robert Reyer, the accident happened on the ramp from northbound I-5 to State Route 512. The impact of the car and box truck sent the car through a fence near the ramp.
The ramp was fully blocked by the accident and officials instructed drivers to find alternate routes.
The driver of the car was transported to the hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
Tow trucks came to remove the vehicles.
