One hospitalized after rollover crash on I-5 near 84th St in Tacoma

TACOMA, WA – One person was hospitalized following a rollover crash on I-5 in Tacoma this afternoon, according to the Tacoma Fire Department.

Firefighters are on scene of a motor vehicle collision on SB I5 near 84th. Three lanes are currently blocked and one pt is being transported for further medical care. An alternate route is advised. pic.twitter.com/31TWFLdT6L

The accident happened on southbound I-5 near 84^th Street at around 2:20 p.m., and involved a pickup then, as well as at least one vehicle which overturned.

One person was taken to the hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries.

Three lanes of traffic were blocked as a result of the crash and drivers were advised to use an alternate travel route.
