KENT, WA – One man died and six people were injured Tuesday in a head-on collision in Kent on Tuesday, according to an article by the Kent Reporter.

The crash happened at about 7:10 p.m. in the 29500 block of Kent Black Diamond Road Southeast when a black Ford F-350 crossed over the center and into the lane of oncoming traffic. The F-350 struck a Ford Escape in a head-on collision before flipping over. The F-350 then collided with a Toyota Tacoma that had been driving behind the Escape.

Kent man Jaime Alonso Gomez, 50, a passenger in the Escape, died at the scene due to several blunt force injuries sustained in the crash.

Four people inside the Tacoma and two people inside the Escape received minor injuries in the accident and were taken to the hospital for treatment.

The driver of the F-350 was also taken to the hospital and is under investigation for DUI. He is facing possible charges of vehicular homicide.
