One dead in fatal rollover accident on I-5, Boeing Freeway

EVERETT, WA – One person died after a single-car rollover accident on the northbound Interstate 5 exit toward Boeing Freeway on Tuesday morning.
We’re on scene of a 1 car rollover collision on the off ramp to SR-526 (Boeing Freeway) from NB I-5. Sadly, this is a fatal crash. Traffic is being diverted to SR-527 due to the investigation. Please #DriveSafe and avoid the area at this time.

According to Washington State Trooper Heather Axtman, the accident happened around 2 a.m. Tuesday. It is not clear what caused the accident, but no other vehicles were involved. Axtman said that traffic was being diverted to State Route 527 while officials investigated.
