Officer-involved collision as Seattle PD pursued felony suspect

SEATTLE, WA – A felony suspect was apprehended Thursday morning after fleeing from Seattle Police near I-5 and James.

According to Tweets from Seattle PD and Washington State Trooper Rick Johnson, the suspect fled from police at Broadway and Madison in a silver Nissan.

Officials have not released what felony the suspect was initially being charged with.

A police officer’s car collided with the suspect’s car, ending the chase on northbound I-5 near Olive Way.

Three lanes of traffic were blocked while officers responded to the scene.

As of 10:55 a.m., all lanes were reopened.
