Newport, Washington – Woman Seriously Injured In Rollover Crash

Newport, Washington (July 11, 2019) – A woman was seriously injured in a suspected DUI crash on State Highway 2 near milepost 322 on early Thursday morning. The victim, identified as Yeny Levasseur, was taken to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane for treatment. There has been no word regarding her condition. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

According to the report from the Washington State Patrol, the victim was driving northbound on State Highway 2 when she exited the roadway to the right. This caused her vehicle to hit a dirt embankment and then roll down, eventually ending up on the passenger’s side. Troopers suspect the involvement of drugs or alcohol in the case.
