SEATTLE, WA – A woman with a reported history involving stolen vehicles is facing felony charges after striking another driver with a stolen car in an alleged DUI hit-and-run accident on Friday.

According to the Seattle Police Department, the incident began at the intersection of SW Trenton Street and 8th Avenue SW at about 10:50 a.m., when officers spotted the suspect passed out in the driver’s seat of a vehicle.

The driver woke, then drove away, down 8th Ave. at a high rate of speed. A few minutes later, she collided head-on with another driver, and attempted to flee the scene on foot.

The suspect was apprehended and then taken into police custody. SPD soon discovered that she was operating a vehicle that had been reported as stolen.

She was taken to the hospital for the treatment of undisclosed injuries after being charged with two felonies. A blood test had been administered to check for intoxication.

A passenger and the victimized driver were also injured.

The identities of the victims and the suspect have not yet been released.
