Multiple people hurt after vehicle veers off Snohomish County cliff
Request Free ConsultationSNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA — Crews responded to the scene of a multi-injury crash Saturday evening after a vehicle dropped down a cliff near east Arlington, reports KIRO 7 News.
The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office said the incident was reported near the Boulder River Trailhead shortly before 6:11 p.m.
Crews with both Search & Rescue and the fire department were called to the site to perform a technical rescue.
One person suffered critical injuries and was rushed by airlift to an area hospital.
Medics also transported six other victims by ground ambulance. The extent of their injuries was not disclosed.
Authorities shut down the road leading to the Boulder River Trailhead for several hours during the response but was later reported reopened at 8:31 a.m.
An investigation was underway to determine why the vehicle ran off the roadway.
