Motorcyclist hospitalized after SR 104 crash in Jefferson County

JEFFERSON COUNTY, WA — A motorcyclist was sent to the hospital Thursday afternoon after a crash along State Route 104 in Jefferson County, according to KIRO 7 News.

The accident occurred near the Hood Canal Bridge and fully blocked SR 104. It was first reported by Tacoma’s Washington State Department of Transportation at around 5:00 p.m.

Troopers with Washington State Patrol said the man was taken by airlift to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Troopers coordinated a gradual re-opening of the road by first allowing traffic to alternate through the westbound lane.

By 6:30 p.m., the crash scene was cleared to the shoulder and the road was fully reopened in both directions.

An investigation into the incident is underway.
