PORT ANGELES, WA – A woman died and her husband was severely injured after their motorcycle crashed into a pickup truck on Monday afternoon, according to KOMO News.

Police responded to the accident at the 400 block of O’Brien Road around 3:20 p.m. Monday. Sharron and Michael Currie, 63 and 64 respectively, were found lying in the road.

Sharron was pronounced dead at the scene. Her husband, Michael, suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center.

Witnesses report that the 34-year-old driver of the pickup pulled out in front of the Curries’ motorcycle, but neither party was speeding. Police also say that drugs and alcohol are not factors in this accident.

The driver of the pickup remained at the scene and cooperated with police, so officials do not expect to press charges.
