SEATTLE, WA – A Metro bus crashed into a pole and another vehicle this morning downtown, pinning the bus driver inside and injuring two others, according to a report by KOMO News.

The accident happened around 9 a.m. at the intersection of Spring Street and 3rd Avenue.

At this time, it is believed that the bus initially hit a car, then crashed into a pole.

The driver of the bus had to be extracted from the vehicle by emergency crews and was taken to the hospital for the treatment of leg and back injuries.

A passenger in the car and the sole bus passenger were also brought to the hospital for treatment.

Authorities are advising motorists to avoid the scene at this time, as streets are closed for the ongoing investigation.
