TACOMA, WA – One person was killed, and another two people and a dog were injured in an accident involving two cars and a truck in Tacoma yesterday, according to KOMO News.

The collision occurred on Marine View Drive yesterday afternoon when the 38-year-old driver of a Nissan Altima tried to pass other vehicles while in the turning lane.

The Altima, which was reportedly traveling at high speeds, swerved in front of a semi-truck before colliding head-on with a Kia going in the other direction.

The Nissan driver died at the scene of the crash.

A man, a woman, and their dog were injured as a result of the collision. The couple was taken to the hospital for the treatment of severe wounds, and the dog is with the couple’s family while recovering from injuries not thought to be life-threatening.

The truck driver was not reported as hurt in the crash.

Authorities have not yet released the identities of the victims and the incident remains under investigation at this time.

Marine View Dr was closed for multiple hours after the crash for the investigation and cleanup efforts.
