Man injured in rear-end collision in College Place

COLLEGE PLACE, WA – A man was sent to the hospital Wednesday after a rear-end collision in College Place allegedly caused by a 16-year-old driver, according to the Walla Walla Union-Bulletin.

The accident happened just after 6 p.m. at the intersection of South College Avenue and State Route 125.

A 1995 Toyota Corolla, driven by 31-year-old Milton-Freewater man Justin C. Anderson, was stopped at the intersection, headed northbound. A 16-year-old driver from Milton-Freewater then struck the Toyota from behind with a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500.

Milton-Freewater man Christopher R. Anderson, 27, who was a passenger in the Toyota, was taken to the hospital for the treatment of injuries sustained during the crash. Neither of the occupants of the Toyota was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.

Justin Anderson and the 16-year-old were not injured in the collision. The teenage driver and their 15-year-old passenger were wearing a seatbelt.

The teenage driver received a citation for driving too closely behind another vehicle.
