SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA — A 35-year-old man was killed early Thursday morning in a motorcycle collision on a U.S. Highway 2 exit ramp near the Riverside neighborhood in Everett, according to goskagit.com.

The accident occurred on the ramp connecting US-2 westbound to Interstate 5 northbound near the Snohomish River at around 12:30 a.m.

Washington State Patrol said the man lost control of his 2017 Harley-Davidson motorcycle while on the ramp after failing to negotiate a curve. The bike crashed into the right-side guardrail, ejecting the rider.

The man died at the scene, according to WSP. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

Authorities have determined speed to be the cause of the crash, and no drugs or alcohol were suspected.
