Man arrested for DUI after multi-vehicle crash in Monroe
Request Free ConsultationSNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA — A 37-year-old man was arrested for suspected DUI Saturday afternoon after causing two separate collisions on U.S. Highway 2 in Monroe, according to KIRO 7 News.
Police initially responded to a crash near US-2 and Chain Lake Road at around 4:18 p.m.
A blue Honda Civic was involved in a crash with two other cars and was attempting to flee the scene while others tried to stop him.
As the Honda Civic fled the scene, it ran a red light and collided with two other cars before coming to a stop.
Police believed the causing driver to be intoxicated, noting “a strong odor of intoxicants” and evidence of alcoholic beverages inside his vehicle.
The at-fault driver was taken into custody and now faces charges for hit-and-run and attempting to run from police.
No serious injuries have been reported.
An investigation remained underway as of Sunday evening.
