SEATTLE, WA – A man is facing felony charges after he allegedly forced a woman into his Jeep, leading police on a pursuit that ended in an injury-causing collision on Monday night.

According to an incident report by the Seattle Police Department, the incident began in north Seattle, near the intersection of Aurora and 103rd Street just before midnight. According to multiple witnesses, two men forced their female friend into a grey Jeep, before leaving the scene.

With the help of witnesses tracking the victim’s phone, which was near the Aurora bridge, police began a pursuit.

The chase ended when the Jeep crashed. The driver attempted to flee the scene, but was soon taken into police custody. He is facing felony charges of kidnapping and eluding law enforcement.

A passenger, who according to the victim was innocent in the crime, was taken to the hospital for the treatment of a non-critical arm injury.

The kidnapping victim was not reported as hurt.

The identities of the victims and driver have not yet been reported.
