Kent, Washington – Three People Hospitalized Following Exposure to Carbon Monoxide

Kent, Washington (February 12, 2020) – Three people were taken to the hospital after being exposed to carbon monoxide in a Kent neighborhood. According to the report from KOMO News, several residents called firefighters after feeling sick and confused. Three people were treated at the scene and later taken to a hospital.

Crews from Puget Sound Fire responded to the incident around 8:20 a.m. on Wednesday. The first arriving crews got an alarm on their carbon monoxide meters and called in the hazardous materials team and medics. Update: According to a tweet from Puget Sound Fire techs have discovered that a furnace in the area was not the source of the carbon monoxide and the true source is yet to be determined.
