Injuries reported in multi-vehicle truck collision on I-5 SB in Tacoma

TACOMA, WA — Minor injuries were reported late Wednesday evening in a crash involving a semi-truck and four other vehicles on Interstate 5 southbound in Tacoma, according to Trooper Robert Reyer with Washington State Patrol for District 1.

The accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-5 at Delin Street near milepost 133 and was reported by WSP at 8:13 p.m.

No further information has been reported confirming the number of people injured, or the circumstances around the crash.

Three right lanes were reported to be completely blocked as state troopers and crews with both Tacoma Fire Department and Washington State Department of Transportation responded to the scene.

Evening commuters were told to expect delays.
