Injuries reported in alleged DUI crash and car fire in Everett

EVERETT, WA – At least one person was injured as a result of an alleged DUI crash and subsequent car fire in Everett this morning, according to the Washington State Patrol.

One car minor injury collision on the north I-5 off ramp to Marine View Drive in Everett. Use caution in the area. @EverettFire @wsdot are also on scene. Vehicle also caught fire temporarily but has been extinguished. Driver is under arrest for DUI. #drivesober

The collision occurred on the ramp from N I-5 to Marine View Drive at about 10:45 a.m., when a lone car crashed, then caught fire.

At least one person suffered minor injuries in the collision.

The driver, who was able to make it out of the vehicle before it burst into flames, was taken into police custody on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
