SNOQUALMIE PASS, WA – Officials with the Washington State Department of Transportation reported an extensive closure of Interstate 90 over Snoqualmie Pass on Monday evening.

According to a tweet from the official WSDOT account, multiple crashes and avalanche danger forced troopers to shut down the roadway from mile marker 35 in North Bend to mile marker 106 near Ellensburg.

No updates on when the roadway was reopened were provided.
