Evans Canyon Fire results in unhealthy air quality

SELAH, WA – The 52,000-acre Evans Canyon Fire is resulting in unhealthy air quality for the surrounding area, which could pose a threat to residents with respiratory problems.

According to KOMO News, smoke from the fire, which started earlier this week and continues to eat everything in its path, can cause trouble breathing, chest pain, stinging eyes, and coughing.

Residents are advised to stay indoors with the windows shut to avoid coming into contact with smoke.
