SEATTLE, WA – An elderly driver is dead after he suffered a medical episode, then collided with a pole in the Highland Park area this morning, according to the West Seattle Blog.
The accident occurred on 3rd Avenue SW and Olson Place at about 8:30 a.m., when an 84-year-old man suffered a medical episode while driving, causing him to go onto the shoulder and into a pole nearby.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities at this time believe that the driver died as a result of the medical episode, and not the crash itself.
