RICHLAND, WA – A train derailed Friday afternoon due to unknown reasons, spilling its load of corn near the tracks and the nearby roads, according to KOMO News.

The accident occurred near the Yakima River train bridge in Richland, which is about three hours southeast of Seattle.

Eight BNSF train cars came off the tracks, but no one was injured.

Crews cleared the scene by Saturday morning.
