Dump truck collision closes all lanes on US-2 EB near central Everett

SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA — A rollover accident involving a dump truck Saturday afternoon shut down U.S. Highway 2 eastbound near central Everett, reports KIRO 7 News.

Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) reported the crash just east of Interstate 5 at around 2:45 p.m.

According to Washington State Patrol, a dump truck overturned onto its side in the collision, spilling its load onto the highway.

No injuries to either driver were reported.

The event caused a heavy traffic backup and authorities projected an extended road closure as crews worked to clear debris.

No further details were disclosed on the cause of the crash, but an investigation was underway.
