Driver smashes antique pickup into semi in work zone
Request Free ConsultationLAKEWOOD, WA – A driver smashed their antique pickup truck into the back of a tractor-trailer in a work zone on I-5 in Lakewood on Tuesday night.
According to Washington State Trooper Robert Reyer, the driver of the 1966 Ford did not slow down as they approached a work zone on southbound I-5 near Gravelly Lake Drive. When the tractor-trailer ahead of the pickup driver slowed down, the second driver was unable to and crashed the passenger side of his vehicle into the larger truck.
Thankfully, the pickup’s driver and passenger escaped with only minor injuries.
