SEATTLE, WA – A person was injured in the Industrial District after being pinned inside their vehicle during a two-car crash on Friday morning, according to a significant incident report published by the Seattle Police Department.

The accident occurred at the intersection of E Marginal Way S and S Hudson Street at about 5:20 a.m., when a driver pulling into the street was struck by another vehicle.

The first driver then collided with a fence, causing them to be pinned inside the vehicle.

Fire Department workers were able to rescue the driver after cutting off the roof and doors of the vehicle.

The pinned driver was then taken to the hospital for the treatment of undisclosed injuries.

The second driver was not reported as hurt.

SPD closed lanes in the area for about 40 minutes for the cleanup and investigation of the crash.
